WOMAN DELIVERS BABY ON NALLASOPARA RAIL BRIDGE!

A full term pregnant woman unable to bear labour pains delivered a bonny baby boy on a bridge  at Nalla Sopara station on Sunday morning. Health officials of the civic hospital helped in the delivery and both baby and mother are admitted in the Vasai civic maternity hospital at Nalla Sopara and are in good health.

Reshma Hakim Ahmed (26) a resident of Hanuman Nagar Nalla Sopara (W) was heavily pregnant and proceeding to the Shatabdi Hospital Kandivli for checkup when while crossing the rail bridge to board a Mumbai local, she developed labour pains and she delivered a bonny baby boy on the bridge said PSI Gopalkumar Rai of the RPF,Vasai. 

A human cordon was formed by women on the bridge using their dupattas and Health officials and soon Reshma delivered the baby while nurses from a nearby maternity hospital rushed to the spot said PSI Rai to cut the umblical cord using sterile instruments. Soon we called the government ambulance service '108'and admitted both mother and child in the Vasai civic maternity hospital at Tulinj and both mother and baby are in good health he said.
